Routine Check-ups

At Metro Decatur Dental Group PC, we emphasize the importance of routine dental check-ups for maintaining optimal oral health. Our team of skilled professionals in Avondale Estates, GA, is dedicated to providing thorough and comprehensive examinations during these appointments. During routine check-ups, we assess the overall health of your teeth and gums, checking for any signs of decay, gum disease, or other oral health issues. We also conduct screenings for oral cancer to ensure early detection and treatment if necessary.

Regular check-ups allow us to identify potential problems early on, preventing them from escalating into more serious issues. Additionally, these appointments give us the opportunity to educate our patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care.

Cleanings

Professional dental cleanings are an essential part of maintaining a healthy smile. At Metro Decatur Dental Group PC, our experienced hygienists in Avondale Estates, GA, perform thorough cleanings to remove plaque and tartar buildup from your teeth and gums. Regular cleanings help prevent cavities, gum disease, and bad breath, promoting overall oral health.

During cleanings, our hygienists use specialized tools to remove plaque and tartar from hard-to-reach areas, including below the gumline. We also polish your teeth to remove surface stains and leave your smile looking and feeling refreshed.

X-rays

X-rays play a crucial role in diagnosing dental issues that may not be visible during a visual examination. At Metro Decatur Dental Group PC, we utilize state-of-the-art digital X-ray technology to capture detailed images of your teeth, gums, and jawbone. These images allow us to detect cavities, bone loss, impacted teeth, and other abnormalities early on, enabling prompt treatment and preventing further complications.

Our team in Avondale Estates, GA, prioritizes your safety and comfort during X-ray procedures. Digital X-rays emit significantly less radiation than traditional X-ray machines, minimizing exposure without compromising diagnostic quality. We take necessary precautions to ensure that X-rays are performed only when clinically indicated, providing you with peace of mind.

Fillings

When decay or damage compromises the structure of a tooth, fillings are a common restorative solution to repair and strengthen it. At Metro Decatur Dental Group PC, our skilled dentists in Avondale Estates, GA, utilize tooth-colored composite fillings to restore the appearance and function of damaged teeth. These fillings blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, providing a durable and aesthetically pleasing solution for cavities and minor tooth damage.

During the filling procedure, we remove decayed or damaged tooth structure and clean the area thoroughly before applying the composite filling material. We then sculpt and polish the filling to ensure a precise fit and natural-looking result. With proper care, composite fillings can last for many years, preserving your smile for the long term.
